On 15 September 2026, Sean proposed to Irene at Azenhas do Mar, in Sintra. Irene had no idea.
The proposal on the cliff
We planned everything in advance: the spot on the cliff, the time and a signal so I would know when it was about to happen. I stayed at a distance, out of sight, while the two of them walked by the viewpoint with the sea and the village behind them.
When Sean got down on one knee, Irene finally realised what was going on. After the yes came the hug, the ring and their first kiss as an engaged couple, right there on the cliff.
A session for two
With the nerves gone, we used the last light of the day for a short session around the village: the steps between the white houses and a walk by the sea.
