It is one of the most important moments of your life and it lasts only a few seconds. My job is to be in the right place without being noticed and to keep everything exactly as it happened: the nerves, the surprise, the tears and the hug.

01 · Planning
We talk by email or WhatsApp about your dates, ideas and locations. I suggest the spot, the time with the best light and fewer people, and how to get there without raising suspicion.
02 · The surprise
I arrive early and blend into the surroundings. Your partner won’t notice me. When the moment happens, I capture every reaction naturally.
03 · Couple session
After the proposal we spend about an hour on relaxed portraits while you enjoy the moment. No complicated posing.
04 · Delivery
You receive an online gallery of edited, high-resolution photos, ready for your announcement, prints, an album or save-the-dates.

The best places to propose
The Sintra coast is one of my favourite places for proposals: cliffs, hidden beaches and endless Atlantic views, with far fewer people than the palaces.
Azenhas do Mar, Adraga, Praia da Ursa, Magoito and Cabo da Roca offer stunning views and unforgettable sunsets. If you prefer the Sintra of palaces, there are great options too:
Pena Palace
Colourful terraces and fairy-tale views. Ideal if it is your first time in Portugal. It gets very busy and entry is by time slot, so it needs careful planning.
Quinta da Regaleira
Tunnels, gardens and the famous Initiation Well. Ideal for a romantic proposal in a setting full of history.
Monserrate Palace
Elegant gardens, beautiful architecture and fewer crowds. Perfect for a more intimate moment.
Secret spots
Over the years I have found quiet corners around Sintra, away from the crowds. Ideal if privacy matters to you.

When is the best time to propose?
Early morning brings beautiful light and the best-known spots are almost empty. In the late afternoon, golden hour gives warm, romantic light, especially on the coast as the sun sets over the ocean.
What if it rains? Sintra is beautiful in the mist too. If the weather really doesn’t cooperate, we change the location or the date whenever possible.
Frequently asked questions
Can you help me plan the proposal?
Absolutely. Many clients contact me before arriving in Portugal and I help them choose the location, timing and logistics, including how to get there without spoiling the surprise.
Will my partner know you are the photographer?
No. I work discreetly and blend into the surroundings until the proposal happens.
What if it rains?
Sintra has plenty of charm in the mist. If the weather becomes a real problem, we adjust the location or reschedule whenever possible.
How far in advance should I book?
The sooner the better, especially in spring and summer. Still, I can often accommodate last-minute proposals, depending on availability.
Do you photograph proposals outside Sintra?
Yes. I photograph proposals and sessions in Lisbon, Cascais, Cabo da Roca, Ericeira and all over Portugal.
