LESS FRICTION. MORE PHOTOGRAPHY.

Simple on the surface.
Thoughtful in every detail.

From the first impression to the final download, an experience designed for photographers and the people receiving their images.

See every detail

A full-screen viewer, zoom and panning for a closer look at your photographs.

At home on mobile

Swipe navigation and pinch-to-zoom. An experience that adapts to the screen.

Keep the story in order

Portrait and landscape photographs in their own proportions, preserving the presentation sequence.

Photographs to keep

Individual downloads. The Lightroom version also lets you offer an album ZIP.

Make it yours

Cover image, logo, contact details and social links. The plugin also offers fonts and light or dark themes.

Ready for larger galleries

Lightweight thumbnails and progressive loading. The plugin adds configurable pagination, with 200 photos per page by default.

TWO WAYS TO CREATE YOUR GALLERY

Choose your workflow.

With or without Lightroom, the goal is the same: a simple, considered presentation for your photographs.

01 / STANDALONE

Your files.
Your control.

An independent gallery. Edit the config, add your photographs and thumbnails to the folders, then upload it to your hosting.

  1. Set your title, cover, logo and contact details.
  2. Add your images to the album folders.
  3. Upload by FTP to a PHP-enabled host.

For photographers using any photo editor who prefer to prepare their own files.

02 / LIGHTROOM CLASSIC

From your selection
to your gallery.

Work in the Lightroom Classic Web module. Set the appearance, organise albums and export a gallery with large images and thumbnails.

  1. Select and order your photographs in Lightroom.
  2. Customise the settings and albums in the Web module.
  3. Export and upload the files to your hosting.

For Lightroom Classic 13 or later. The exported gallery is HTML and does not require PHP.

LIGHTROOM CLASSIC · BETA 0.8.3

Your gallery, inside Lightroom.

Current plugin beta · Configure in the Web module. Export static HTML, large photos and thumbnails, ready for your own hosting.

Illustrative recreation based on the plugin interface. Fictional names and contacts; no personal catalogue data. The native panel headings belong to Lightroom.

Make it yours

Light and dark themes, a cover image or solid background, separate title and body fonts, your logo and social/contact links.

Organise your story

Up to eight albums, defined by their starting photo in the selection. Pagination at 100, 200 or 500 photos per page.

Choose how photos appear

Original proportions, square, portrait or landscape thumbnails. Keep the entire photo visible or fill the viewer area with a crop.

Show only what matters

Choose whether to show the title, date, photo count, album and Home buttons, arrows, logo, social links and HGallery credit.

A richer viewing experience

Swipe, pinch zoom, panning, keyboard navigation and an optional slideshow. Header/footer bars or overlay controls; optional video and audio links.

Details and delivery

Optional titles, captions and camera/exposure information. Individual downloads, album ZIP generation up to 256 MB, or your own hosted ZIP link.

Work in your language

Plugin controls in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, German, Simplified Chinese and Japanese. The language follows Lightroom, with English as fallback.

Preview with control

Choose entrance, gallery or single-photo preview. Limit the preview to 12 or 24 photos, or switch photos off. Export still includes the complete selection.

The optional HTML password screen is a simple entry screen, not protection against direct file links. The plugin is in beta and has not been certified or approved by Adobe. Album ZIP creation needs a web server; individual viewing also works locally.

THE STORY BEHIND HGALLERY

Born from a need.
Shaped by experience.

“I wanted a gallery that was simple to prepare, a pleasure to use, and would let the photographs speak.”

I’m Hugo Grilo, a photographer. HGallery grew out of a need to present and deliver images without complicating my work. I wanted a minimal design, useful features and a thoughtful experience on computers and phones. Now I’m sharing it with other photographers — so we can test it, improve it and make it more useful in our everyday work.

LET’S TEST IT TOGETHER

Get the beta
in your inbox.

We’re currently testing. Leave your details and choose the version you would like to try. I’ll personally email you a download link.

This is beta software and may contain bugs. Test a gallery before using it for client delivery. Your feedback helps it improve.

All fields are required.

Which version would you like to test?

Choose one or both.

Emails are sent personally, not automatically. Optional donation.

Before you start.

Do I need Lightroom?

No. The standalone version works independently: edit the config and add images to the folders. The plugin is an alternative for Lightroom Classic users.

Where is the gallery hosted?

On your own hosting. The standalone version needs PHP. Galleries exported by the plugin are HTML and can be uploaded to a static host.

How do I get the download?

Complete the form and choose one or both versions. During the beta, Hugo will personally email you the relevant download link.

Can I share feedback or report an issue?

Yes. Reply to your beta email or write to hgallery@hugogrilo.pt. Your experience helps make HGallery better.
